Our Mission

Sunday Stories is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that holds space for women to share stories marked by wisdom, authenticity, and compassion. We are on a mission to increase the social well-being of young Black women in urban settings.

Our SundayStory.

Sundays are a time for healing, reflection, and fellowship.

Our Why

In light of The World Health Organization's designation of loneliness as a global public health concern in 2023, and the disproportionate impact of loneliness on Black women, Sunday Stories was created to foster transformative connections for Black urban-dwelling women.

Our Approach

Each year, leadership handpicks cohorts of 40 Black women between the ages of 25 and 33 who are based in Metropolitan NYC and Washington DC. Once selected for membership, our community commits a year to cultivating sisterhood, building relationships through bespoke events and intimate experiences held on Sunday afternoons.

Our Vision

We aspire to cultivate a network that transcends superficial interactions. We envision a community where every interaction is a stepping stone towards a richer, healthier, more fulfilled life.
